  • Baby Won't Cue — Elimination Communication
If a baby won’t give clear elimination cues, rely more on timing after feeds and wakes, keep offering calmly, and watch for tiny pauses. Not every baby signals loudly — EC still works with observation and patience.
Track timing for two days. Patterns often beat body language when cues are quiet.
Soft offers beat hovering. Put baby on the pot, cue once, wait briefly, then move on — no pushing.
Check clothing comfort and whether caregiver stress is rushing the offer. Calm room, short try.
