Ready for elimination communication

I just came across this raw shot from 2012.

I had just turned 20, birthed him at home (without a partner, but with a professional birth team) + EC happened to be a second nature kinda thing for us.

This is his first pottying, we had just figured out breastfeeding (hence the nip action, that hopefully doesn’t offend anyone here) – it was probably midnight, and I knew he needed to potty (had already planned to EC but wasn’t sure when I’d be ready to start. Right away we were ready), asked for a metal bowl, and held him like I had seen before— and voila! We EC’ed!

Thankful my mum snapped this picture.

This cutie is now 9 years old and he thinks it’s super cool he never really “needed” diapers.

I think you will all appreciate this.
